Coming soon to Horsia
Reining is the dressage of western riding. Each horse rides a set pattern of circles, spins, sliding stops and rollbacks. Judges start from 70 points and add or subtract from +1.5 to −1.5 for every manoeuvre, plus penalties.
The big money is in the futurities for three-year-olds, led by the NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma City, followed by derbies for older horses. Most reining horses are Quarter Horses, with Paints and Appaloosas also competing.
When Horsia opens reining it will score each manoeuvre the way a judge does, from video, and measure stops and spins. We will open it once it is validated against real competition scores.
